It’s the Labour Day weekend and the gang has gathered for the last hurrah of summer. Tradition has brought the same folk together all the way through high school but the coming year is college for some and adventure for others. It’s the chance for new beginnings and potential endings. Will love blossom or fade? Will schemes flourish or crash? Will legends live or die? Will the last bonfire of summer leave a bitter taste or Good Vibrations? The sands at Mispec beach are ready to shine under the light of a full moon and we all know that a full moon can make most people a little bit crazy…and a few folk a little bit hairy. Join us for the end of the last summer of the sixties and the music it brings to life.
Join Norm, the justifiably jittery host of his Beachfront restaurant, as he tries to cope with his flamboyant waitress CJ on the quest for the perfect trucker date; Johnny and Jeannie as they face separation for the very first time; Rhonda and her biker gang ready to head south for a winter of roughing up Florida; Ethel and her quest to be anyone but Ethel and Bongo and Rover as they live off the land and the sea and whatever else drifts their way.
Norm: An entrepreneur with a flair for failure. Norm has big dreams but they seem to turn into nightmares at a moments notice. Jon Goud
CJ: A waitress at Norm’s Diner. She loves her job. At least the people she meets at her job….ok at least the truckers she meets at her job. Cindy Guitard
Rhonda: She has clawed her way to the top of her biker gang: Los Lobos. She has a fine appreciation of the finer things in life…and the ways that they can be broken. Chelsea Cusack
Johnny: Ready to end his life as a high school student and head off to College. Everything is about to change…except for his girl Jeannie. Nothing could break that bond. Mike Belyea
Jeannie: After all those high school years a girl has to think about her future. It’s the time for big changes and what if the boyfriend isn’t fitting in with those changes as well as she has hoped? Marissa Rignanes
Bongo: A man who marches to the beat of a different drummer. He loves the sun and the bronzing that it brings…though sometimes the sun can fry the brain as well. Sean Roach
Rover: If it’s on the beach it is fair game to Rover to bring home and make into a thing of beauty…of course beauty can so often be in the eye of the beholder. Mike Caissie
Ethel: She means well, but poor Ethel couldn't get a date to the big beach bonfire dance if she were the last girl in Mispec. Karen Lizotte
Drummer Dude "Skippy": Matthew Piper
